Photo Prints to be Won!

I have long forgotten the real feeling of holding a photograph. I am passionate about photography but in this digital era, each shots taken is just stored in computer or hard disk.
So, how about giving yourself a chance to win photo prints, interested? Click this link -- NikiCheong for more details.

#1 This is a film camera used by my Dad long time ago. The sad part is that this particular camera is not functional anymore due to some damages. I choose this shot because of the beautiful structure of this camera and knowing that my Dad and I also share the passion.^^

#2 Hiroshi Motofuji. That is the drummer performed in Rainforest World Music Festival 2008. I attended the wonderful music festival last year and memories still lingering in my mind. Ok, I choose this particular shot because of his fantastic spirit and passion while performing. There was a session where fellow drummers performed and although there is language barrier between the drummers but I guess they speak one similar language-MUSIC.

#3 Yup, that is me. I find it rather pathetic when I was looking back at the photos I have taken and there is just limited photos of me. So, most of my self portrait will either be weird or the camera will be in the shot. Most of the times, I took self-portrait because it portrayed my feeling during that particular moment. ;-)

#4 I took this shot some times ago and I still love looking at it because he is my lovely cousin and I do miss him. The main reason this shot is chosen is the expression of his face and how he put his tongue out. I mean why are we so serious in life and stress out. Be cheerful like a child and things are not so complicated all the times. ^_^

The Lifeless Horses

It has almost been a week since I blog because I have nothing really interesting to share. Well, that might be an excuse but I just don't like to blog something that I truly don't like. At least, this is my blog where I could just post craps and still be satisfied.

I love to put photos in every single post. Why? The reason is that I am not that good in writing and I am afraid that you will probably go away after reading my post pack of words and just boring words.

So, couple of weeks ago I was at (kinda of hard to get it). It is Palace of the Horses... Hotel of the Horses... I get it- Palace of the Golden Horses

Slurpeelicious Moment

I guess that most of you already know about the Slurpee licious Contest by 7-eleven and Nuffnang. Ok, it was couple of weeks ago and I had a week-long break, due to boredom I and 3 of my friends actually try to take part in this competition. No doubt that it was quite a challenge to have creative ideas rather than some mundane shots. We guys need your votes!!!

Sometimes, the winning photos or ideas might not be the most creative but it all depends on votes. This really piss me off as I always believe that creativity is more significant. ;-)
So, hope that you guys will support creativity and I appreciate your votes.

  Like it? Vote for me...

How about this? Vote me...

Geek also needs some time off. Vote for geek...

I really hope to get the support from all of you guys. Please VOTE!!!

Double Take

At my previous post, I did mentioned I am going for this year only performance by Double Take in DFP. Yesterday was superb and the whole morning my mind was already wandering although I was attending first class of the semester.

Left Malacca at about 3 and the whole journey was talking about guitars, music and Singapore. Got no idea, how we got into the whole Singapore thing. ;-) First stop after reaching KL was Kepong to visit luthier Edward Hiew. For more info at Freeman Guitar. It was my first time visiting a lutheir workshop and it was fantastic.

 Mr Yong and Edward Hiew

The born place of many great guitars...

Edward Hiew

This place is sort of like the place where a painter paints his art, just that this is a luthier builds the guitars from scratch. Heaven for guitarists...

Time was ticking exceptionally fast, so we left to KLCC. The sad part is that Roger was performing using his first harp guitar and the luthier himself failed to get ticket on time and can't witness his masterpiece being played in MPO. I bet Edward will cry if he was in  MPO seeing Roger playing the beautiful guitar... ( just an assumption

this is what i dress for the concert...

DFP in Petronas Twin Towers.

Ok, the performance was fantastic. Mia amazing voice and Roger's great guitar skills wow the whole DFP. Personally I love the Man in the Mirror and the last song Somewhere over the rainbow very much... The stage was just so simple with a guitarist and a vocalist, that all and magics happened!

Guess what! After concert I get the chance to meet up with Roger and Mia, how cool was it!!!

Hope that there will be another concert like this in the future... please please.

Mia Palencia and Roger Wang

Double Take to thrill jazz lovers in Dewan Filharmonik Petronas on the 12th of October and that is next Monday, at the same day it will be the start of my new semester. So, next Monday is going to be super hectic for me ;-)

Although I have been to MPO for a couple of times. Normally, I was there for orchestra music that I don't really understand nor appreciate. However this time I am attending this concert as I love guitar and Roger is going to play the rhythm, bass and percussive bits to support Palencia's voice.

This is an edited photo and keep on laughing every time i look back at it.

At first, I was quite hesitant for the Double Take's concert as it is the beginning of another semester and I have some trouble with transportation. Then, I met up with Yong and he get me the ticket and willing to give me a ride there :-). I really hope to see Roger brand new harp guitar on the concert...

And probably for this concert there wouldn't be so many ME be attending it.

Smile on My Face

It feels fantastically amazing waking up in the morning that today you are going to do something that you are passionate and curious about.

Let go straight to today happenings in my life. It started with a brunch at a quaintly cafe and at the same time it is also a bank. Sorry for not having any photos to accompany. The whole brunch thing lasted for couple of hours... You can never run out of topics to talk when all are having the same passion. Mr Yong, Aaron and I were randomly chit-chatting about music to photography to the complicated life of a 29. The talk will never ever stop if it is not because i have an orthodontics appointment.

Next is the orthodontics part. Even though i have been wearing braces for years and i have no idea how it feels of not having pieces of metal in my mouth already. So, it was just a very normal visit to the dentist which i have done since my teeth is wearing bling-bling.

Photobucket

Great news is that i am getting off the braces soon!!! I mean this year... It was just so great. I will truly miss the metals in my mouth. ;-(

Last, i have to do some explanation on the project that is running for this week. Basically it is another opportunity to activate some creative neurons. I just can't tell every single details of it, just let it finishes first and then the answer will appear naturally by 4 photos.
It will involved drinks, braces, geek, tummy and sweat.

Photobucket
Cheers guys!!! Have a great week ;-)

October

It is already the second day of October. There are a few updates i would love to blog about before i forget.

1.  It has been days since my last post because this week is the end of semester exam and by the time you are reading this post, i am in semester break. ( always available for yum-cha )
Gosh, time flies in a blink of an eye! I am approaching the second semester. FML, no break for next semester. Currently, have no definite plan for this whole week. Probally, will just do some mundane routine or try out something new...

Photobucket

2. It is October. I would love to do birthdays shout-out to October's babies. Firstly, happy birthday to Mum. I guess she will never find out about this blog and i do not want her to read my blog though :-P. The truth is that i can't really confirm her age but i clearly remember her birthday. Ok, happy birthday to Aeson, long time buddy. You are finally 18...

3. The feeling of sombre in in the air. First is Tsunami in American Samoa then earthquake in Padang, Indonesia. To make matter worse, typhoon Ketsana in some countries of S.E.A.
The best i can do i to pray and hope that everything will be fine soon.
